SYNOPSIS

The Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Opera was written on the libretto by Stephanie Gottlieb from the play by Christoph Friedrich Bretzner.

It is very tasty, but I think it can be rewritten in a language more current, more capable to give the message (however clear) of tolerance and love that this work propagate.

This singspiel has in itself a lot of freshness and gaiety, but the interpretation (most scenic that musical, in my opinion) can destroy this magnificent architecture.

Too often we see the staging of this splendor, slip into a distressing vulgarity which is certainly not the desire to Mozart, in prey to love for the the last daughter of Mrs. Weber: Constanze.

DIRECTOR'S NOTES

A setting in scene minimalist... as usual... but very sharp, based more on the situations and the costume-decoration, that on the effects.
